Is it a Banksy?

After some research T.J. Ortenzi reported:

It looks like that bit of street art is not Banksy’s. It’s by a street artist named “Criminal Chalkist” per IsThisTheFuture.Co.Uk. They in turn link to Criminal Chalkist’s Facebook Page. And a Reddit commenter points out that this design is actually based on an image that first appeared in 2011.

Blog Log: The Big Picture

THE BIG PICTURE blog proves that bigger truly is better. The Boston Globe photoblog created in 2008, runs news images of 990 pixels, which look as if they’re about to jump off the screen. The blog’s mission is to post “news stories in photographs,” which is exactly what it does. Whether it is a colorful image of performers dancing at the Notting Hill Carnival in London or striking shots from ground zero, The Big Picture puts it all in perspective. The images are prefaced with a brief description and a subsequent link to a gallery. The effect is almost visceral, in the quality and clarity of the images, which draw you into the story – whatever it may be.
